Echocardiography
An echocardiogram is a test in which high-frequency sound waves (ultrasound) are aimed at the heart. The ultrasound waves bounce back to the ultrasound machine, which interprets it as data and as information about the heart. The test can provide data based on size and density, measure the heart chambers, and produce sophisticated images of the beating heart chambers, valves, and the major blood vessels of the ventricles. Echocardiography may be performed while you are still, known as a “resting echocardiogram,” or while you are performing exercise on a treadmill, commonly known as a “stress echo.” For a resting echocardiogram, you will remove clothing from your upper body, put on a gown, and lie on an examination table. No special preparation is necessary. The technician will apply a gel wherever he or she places the echo transducer, make recordings from different parts of the chest, and collect several views of your heart. A monitor will show images of your heart during the test, and these images are also photographs and on videotape. The tape offers a permanent record of the examination and is reviewed by the physician prior to completion of the final report. Wear comfortable clothes. This procedure is painless and takes approximately 45 minutes.

Not only was I able to get all of my testing done in one place, but I’ve also been able to get amazing referrals to outside specialists. This facility is thorough, reliable, and I didn’t feel like just a number. Each person took their time explaining each test, making sure I was comfortable, and felt seen, and heard!!! I’m also a private pay patient and was able to get so much testing done at a discounted rate! Not only do I have answers, but I’m now on a journey to feeling better! Thank you Dr. Suleman and each and every single one of his staff members!! Every single of one of you are absolutely exceptional!!! I appreciate each of you for helping me get my diagnosis’, and not just dismissing me like I have been for years!!Posted on Google ashley montgomeryApril 9, 2025Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Dr. Suleman and his crew at THBC have been a great help. I got very sick about 3 years ago and saw doctor after doctor only to be told I was "fine" and its "anxiety" and all my labs are "normal". I had suspected POTS for about a year but couldn't find a doctor who understands POTS or any dysautonomia/autoimmune anything. I finally found Dr. Suleman and he listened, then he gave me options, explained his reasons for each test he offered, then we started the testing, and not only have I got a POTS diagnosis and help from him on managing it in my every day life, I have also found out other issues that affect my POTS along the way. He does so many tests in office, and when I get results that suggest other things, I get my referrals to other doctors who specify in that issue, but are also familiar with Dr. Suleman and also POTS knowledgeable, cause we all know how POTS ties into EVERYTHING! He's worth the wait list to get in, and he's worth the long office visits and many tests because he gets you answers! Anyways, just wanted to say thank you to Dr. Suleman. Thank you for finding out what's wrong, and giving me answers and options to help me live a better life with this new diagnosis!Posted on Google Adoga HightowerJanuary 21, 2025Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I’ve been a patient of Dr. Suleiman’s since 2014. He is incredibly busy. A sign says please be patient. When it is your turn he will spend the time he needs to be thorough. POTS is such a complicated disease, it takes time to get a complete history from a patient, then select treatments. Very few cardiologists have the testing capacity his office has.He can do most tests in one place which is uncommon with other doctors who have to arrange all the testing required. He has gone out on limb for me several times. I was a pediatric nurse practitioner.I saw patients.I know how some patients have more concerns than others. Some are way sicker than othersAgain, this disease can cause many symptoms and it takes time to figure it out. Plus the associated illnesses with POTS may be hidden, and he finds them. He found all of it. Very generous. Does not smile often, but he is sincere. If I went to another cardiologist, very few know POTS, EDS, and MCAS, and they’d probably send me all over the place taking days, weeks of time. Dr.S can do it in 5 days. Sure, he isn’t the as outgoing as other doctors, but he knows his stuff. Very, very few doctors know POTS as well as he does. I know we want a diagnosis immediately, we want it taken care of, but it is a long term disease and requires time. I don’t know of such a comprehensive program in one place. Most hospitals do not know how to do a correct tilt table test for POTS.Posted on Google Kamie PorroDecember 13, 2024Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Dr. Suleman is amazing! He truly cares about his patients, is a POTS expert (one of the first and for many years the only POTS provider in the area), keeps up with all the latest research and is very thorough. Dr. Suleman has a very academic mind and at times this may come across as stern or impatient, but that is not his heart. Also remember, when we have POTS exacerbations, our brains tend to be a little foggy. Dr. Suleman will do everything he can to help his patients live their best life!! His staff is young but has always been friendly and helpful towards me. I have had no trouble getting my test results printed out to have a copy for myself and for my PCP. I've been coming to the Heartbeat Clinic for over a year and they gave me my life back!! I read these negative reviews and believe these come from patients being overwhelmed. Not every personality will click, but rarely will you find a doctor who wants to treat everyone with this debilitating condition because he truly cares and wants to help. He is older and if he got sick, think how many patients would not receive treatment. That is why he takes many precautions during appointments. I am very grateful for Dr. Amer Suleman.Posted on Google Zach GNovember 25, 2024Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Dr Superman can and will change your life with his excellence in diagnosing and treatment.Posted on Google Amanda FavorsOctober 30, 2024Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. This is one DR that I can say actually cares about his patients. His staff are always friendly and caring also. I recommend him to anyone that needs a cardiologist. I see him for POTS/syncope. By the way if you are ever in his office look around and see all his research.Google rating score: 3.7 of 5, based on 45 reviews
